Asian Vacation, Sentosa Island and Highschool friends

We are wondering on how we will start Day 2 for we are struggling if we will spend the day in Sentosa Island or we will proceed on other attractions that Singapore offer like it’s zoo and the flyer. But after which, Rose, Mic and I decided to spend the day in Sentosa and then meet our good friends later that night.

We stopped at the overpass to take some photo. clean and green!

We woke up early and have our breakfast at the hawker station near Chinatown. Then after which we decided to go to the Harbour front station en route to Vivo city where we will meet Rose Anne. There are two ways to reach Sentosa Island, either we will take the monorail or we will pass the board walk under. In order for us to experience both, we take the monorail first then when going back, we shall take the boardwalk route.

Travel Buddies at Sentosa Station!

Sentosa Island, known to be the a popular island resort have a theme park – Universal Studios Singapore, The Resorts World, the Beach island and the golf courses. As a suggestion, If you would love to explore all of these, you should dedicate a whole day or a two for this itinerary.

Since we wanted to see the island offers and we have limited time, we decided to have the walking tour in the three part island. We purchased a monorail ticket about  10 SGD. Then we headed to the farthest first in the beach side – Palawan and Siloso Beach!

With the modernity of Singapore, it is nice to take a look and spend on the natural side of long beaches and trees on this area. If you want to escape the skyscrapers and just want to chill, it’s the place to be.

Then we headed to the first station where in the universal studios and the Resorts world resides.   We took the luxury of having our signatured universal studios photos. I think it is a must have. If you want to experience the full USS, you must dedicate a whole day for it.

Angry bird cable car experience!

Although with their very amazing designs, and angry bird inspired cables. My friends don’t know that i have an intense fear of height. Hahaha.. so most of the time, I am not standing and just sitting looking at the view.  It’s nice to see the Sentosa  Aerial view, I had a chance to see the ports and the buildings. Including the flood gate in between the sea and the river. You’ll see how clean it is.

Then after which, John Mark already arrived to meet us and have a quick tour with us. He is a fellow HS friend with me and Rose Ann who currently works in Singapore. We decided to go back to the Chinatown and have some couple of snacks while waiting for Danilo, another HS friend.  During our way, we had all of sorts of looking back and HS talks. It’s nice that after all those years, friendship never change.Image

When we are complete, we had sumptuous Chinese dinner sponsored by John Mark. I forgot the name of the restaurant but we had our authentic Chinese dishes with some of the exotic foods I guess.

His girlfriend joined us and we had the “friends meet your girlfriend question and answer talk”. Oh well, this would be the best situation where in Filipino humour was best tested in front of a foreigner.  Then the famous line was born  “how about your brothers and sisters? “

We opted to stay further as we will wait for our good friend George as Jomar and his Girlfriend bids goodbye,. This time, we will experience the night food stalls along Chinatown! The equation for it – friends +updates + talk+ tiger beer!
